For use in medical applications, Spectra Medical Grade is an ultra-high strength, ultra-lightweight polyethylene fiber manufactured through a patented gel spinning process – the first of its kind.
The all new Spectra MG Bio Blue fiber is ideal for use in orthopedic sutures and enables you to operate more accurately and efficiently.
Spectra MG exhibits high resistance to chemicals, water, and ultraviolet light, and possesses superior abrasion and internal fiber-friction characteristics. Compared to conventional polyethylene fiber, Spectra MG has a very high molecular weight and degree of orientation, as well as crystallinity.
